This is what I was born to do. From the time that I was 8 years old I knew that I would be an artist. There just wasn't any doubt, no second choice, no question. To create art is part of my purpose in this life. I believe true art is that which is created completely and wholly out of the heart of the artist. No matter what it is, it is something that the artist feels. That he or she wants to express, having a desire to create something where there was nothing before. The artist opens her heart to share and create expressions for the world to see, giving the viewer a chance to open up their hearts and minds, allowing themselves to experience the thoughts and feelings an artwork provokes. To the viewer, art can be an incredible visual stimulus, often affecting your mind and your spirit. To the artist, creating artwork is like allowing you a view into our soul. |
